A big thank you to Nan and Sue at Denbighshire Memorial Park & Crematorium for organising their lovely memorial service last night. Thank you for the invite, the chapel looked beautiful.

Well done to Sarah Boalch and Revd Canon John Glover for the service.

Our beautiful memorial Christmas tree went up this evening. Thank you to Cheryl, Tracey and Diana for decorating it, it looks lovely.

We are currently adding the names of everyone we have been privileged to care for this year.

Just a quick look back on a busy and interesting month. November 2022 was a month of remembrance. We started the month doing our bit for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal which eventually raised over £22,000 in Llandudno alone. We had some very late nights assisting the Coroner, and we attended the Faces of the Fallen and paid our respects at Llandudno, Penrhynside and Colwyn Bay Cenotaphs.

We are as always thankful for the kindness of the families we help, and those who consistently gift us treats which keep us going. I was lucky enough to be able to visit some beautiful Churches and Cemeteries in Iceland, and to learn a little of the funeral customs of the Icelandic people. We were once again graced with incredible floral tributes from our local florists which adorned the varied, high quality coffins for our families from our fantastic manufacturer. Once again we were privileged to look after people we knew and in some cases knew very well. Sometimes you will see a funeral director crying.

We closed the month by visiting the St. David’s Hospice Tree of Lights in Rhos-on-sea. A wonderful memorial to those we have lost.

As December starts we will be putting up our own memory Christmas tree once again at No 12. With hearts and stars for everyone we have looked after this year.

It was lovely to attend the St David’s Hospice - Tree of Light switch on this evening. Lots of people came to the Cayley to see it. Well done to everyone especially Cor Meibion Colwyn, Beulah Brass and the Rotary Club of Rhos on Sea.

So pleased this has stood the course. I remember attending the very first one.
