Apologies for the lack of posting of late. We have been incredibly busy. Thank you to our lovely friends who have kept us going with cakes, biscuits and kindness. It really helps especially on days where we work well into the evening and sometimes through the night. And thank you to every one of our families who have trusted their loved ones to our care. It is always a huge privilege.
What many people don’t realise is that we often get called when everyone else is asleep, and sometimes multiple times, and are then back in the office first thing in the morning. Just a few days ago we worked through three shift changes at our local Hospital, seeing three different sets of people. It is the way it has always been in the funeral service. It can be exhausting. It’s the quirky little gifts and kind words that make you smile, and keep you going.
Our friend Pam visited today with some thank you gifts and one of them is now on my desk. Yes…it’s a top hat wearing Easter Chick/funeral director 😂.
