A huge thank you to Nan and the team at Memoria Denbighshire Memorial Park & Crematorium for being such fantastic hosts once again at the annual quiz night.

You guys are amazing and we had a great time. It was lovely to see so many of our friends and to make some new ones too.

Congratulations to Cheryl, Glesni, Kate and Tracey who were worthy winners. Thankfully, and to save face for Chris and I the trophy will be returning to No.12, but this time on Cheryl’s desk 😂😂😂😂

It’s was a privilege to look after Joan’s funeral today. Such a lovely sight to see Kings Road decorated with pink balloons in her memory. It was a beautiful tribute. 💕

Lest We Forget.

Today we celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe. Sadly the war continued in the far east and the pacific, with many of those who celebrated here being redeployed and never returning home.

It was right to celebrate this day. The conflict cost approximately 80 million lives, both military and civilian. Its devastation is unmatched. It is important that we remember and never ever lose sight of the toll it took across our planet.

Even if it is not your way to celebrate such things, we feel it is right to reflect and to show respect for every single life that was lost.

As I’ve already posted, the brilliant VE Day period costume exhibition arranged by Friends of Mostyn Street and Home Front Museum is now open at St. John’s Methodist Church on Mostyn Street, Llandudno. It’s worth a visit. It was lovely to see some of the local Veterans attending.

Thank you for the kind invite to the Closing Celebration at Blind Veterans UK Llandudno Centre of Wellbeing. It is such a travesty that we are losing this amazing place. I’ve been able to help out in a small way there and have got to know the incredible staff, whose lives are now changed beyond words. Good luck to every single one of you. The whole town will miss you.
