As we reach the final few weeks of 2024 we’ve been looking back on quite an incredible year for us. It has of course been an absolute privilege to look after each and every family who have come to us and we are grateful for the trust you have shown and hope that with our assistance you have taken those first difficult steps in living with your bereavement.

Being funeral directors is much more than making arrangements. It is about being part of our local community too. We are so grateful to have been involved with so many community occasions and to have been able to sponsor many of them, raise money for others and just generally take part in making our community a better place.

2024 has seen us arrange Military Funerals, Motorbike Funerals and so many others, we have even been on TV! We are grateful for all the lovely cakes and biscuits that keep us going through the year, and for all the kind invites to get involved with so many amazing organisations.

We’ve been constantly amazed at the creativity of the florists and musicians who work with us. The kindness and genuine care of our celebrants and ministers. The hard work that our crematoria and cemetery staff put in and the diligence and respect shown by our Registrars, Coroners and Police and all the NHS, Hospice and Care Home Staff that we work with everyday. Thank you to everyone of our team and those who come in to help us. But more than this we would like to thank all of you who have trusted us with your loved ones. It really is an honour.

We had a lovely time at the Memoria Denbighshire Christmas service on Friday night. Thank you to Nan, Sue, Dave and Aled once again for their hospitality and for allowing us to take part with Rev. John Glover and Paula B – Civil Funeral Celebrant.

Considering the weather conditions, many still attended, and thankfully the weather warning alerts went off just after we had sung the final Carol!!

Thank you for the kind invite to the amazing Blind Veterans UK Llandudno Centre of Wellbeing for the volunteers of the Llandudno Respects Presents: The Longest Yarn. Thank you Gini and the Friends of Mostyn Street, it was a privilege to be involved.

Llandudno’s final act of Remembrance this year was the Armistice Service at the War Memorial, followed by a Service of Rededication of the Memorial Chapel at Holy Trinity Church on its 100th Anniversary. Both very well attended. It was a beautiful sunny morning.

This time of year is so very poignant as we remember those who gave their lives in conflict and who have served in our armed forces. I’ve been incredibly lucky to be able to assist at our fantastic Blind Veterans UK Llandudno Centre of Wellbeing and also once again with the Home Front Museum’s Faces of the Fallen display for the The Royal British Legion – Llandudno Branch – Br2962.

Being at the Veterans Dinner this week was humbling. Meeting them really is a privilege, and seeing the amazing work that the entire team does just takes your breath away. Such wonderful, kind people.

Today’s Drumhead Ceremony and Act of Remembrance was very moving as 101 year old Blind Veteran Arthur laid the first wreath.

It has been an honour to be part in the proceedings.

It was an absolute honour to look after the funeral of the Late Dominic Oughton this week. Seeing his colleagues from HM Tower Fortress and his family and friends honouring his life with such respect was humbling. I know his family would like to thank all involved, especially funeral celebrant Sarah, the Royal British Legion, Llandudno Branch B. R. 2962, Ruth for her faultless and note perfect rendition of the Last Post, George for Standard bearing and Adrian for the Exhortation. Thank you all so much.

It was a beautiful morning for the Memoria Denbighshire open day. Thank you so much to Nan,Sue,Dave and Aled for their kindness and hospitality once again.

Planting spring bulbs in memory of those we have lost was the order of the day, followed by refreshments and a good chat. Lovely to see you all.

Great to see Adi “Angladdau Tirion Funerals” on Radio Fa’ma on S4C this evening. No.12 even made an appearance 😊

It was lovely to meet Mr. David Hunter today. David visited from the National Association of Funeral Directors for our inspection and to assist us in making sure we adhere to the highest standards of membership. Thank you for all your help and pointers, we absolutely appreciate your input.
