Incredible weather for our funeral this morning at Llandrillo Church. Such a beautiful place.

Chris, Cheryl, Peter and Linda visited the lovely Nan and Sue and Dave at Denbighshire Memorial Park and Crematorium today at their open day.

Nan handed a cheque for £190,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support on behalf of Memoria for money collected from their sites through the ICCM metal recycling scheme. Such a wonderful gesture.

It’s a beautiful place run by lovely people. Thank you so much for your support.

Visiting Llanrhos Lawn Cemetery this evening I spotted the sun shining on a beautiful old memorial over the wall in St.Hilary’s Churchyard. I had to photograph it. It was warm and the birds were singing in the trees and as I looked around I realised that I was the only visitor. Before the pandemic, there would always be someone to talk to on an evening like this. Someone leaving flowers or tending a grave.

Standing there made me think of all those who are now alone. It’s been hard for all of us, but think about those who have been left alone because of Covid, and who are struggling with bereavement as well as loneliness. It’s overwhelming.

We could all do with support as we ease out of the pandemic, but many will need a little extra. Perhaps we should go out of our way to help those who are really suffering.

A letter, a call, a wave, taking time to listen. Those little things can be enough to brighten our day.

We were privileged to have the family of the late Mr Martin John Jones be the first to use No 12 for a celebration of his life, led by his lovely sister Lorette. Even though we are still under difficult restrictions we were able to gather to say goodbye.

We would very much like to thank Lorette and Carla for their faith in us.

It was great to see Mr Trystan Lewis today. A man of many talents and a most incredible voice. He immediately jumped straight onto our piano to challenge Ray and John.

Diolch Trystan. Da ni’n edrych ymlaen i gweithio efo chi yn y dyfodol.
