It was great to see Mr Trystan Lewis today. A man of many talents and a most incredible voice. He immediately jumped straight onto our piano to challenge Ray and John.

Diolch Trystan. Da ni’n edrych ymlaen i gweithio efo chi yn y dyfodol.

We were finally able to start a really important project on Saturday evening. We had purposely left two large walls empty in one of our arranging rooms at No.12 so we could help to promote the work of local artists and photographers. Not to sell, but to raise awareness and to give those who visit a chance to look at something beautiful.

We are hoping that over the coming months and years we can promote our incredibly talented local artists in this way.

Our very first artist is Jon Kidd, and we are overjoyed that he has agreed to display some of his paintings with us. Here is a little information about Jon.

“Originally from the Peak District, Derbyshire, Jon moved to Wales to study FdA Photography, BA (Hons) Photography and PGDip Fine Art.

Over a 20-year period Jon has concealed severe bouts of depression, frightening hallucinations, night terrors, sleep paralysis, crippling anxiety and a tremor in his hands. In 2015, he was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety and borderline personality disorder.

His work is his therapy, and he expresses his experiences and struggles through painting and photography. His paintings, perhaps inspired by his time in the Peak District, are all from his imagination. They are not just landscapes, but feelings, that leave us to ponder our own emotions.

If you wish to see more of his work feel free to visit :-

He is also on WordPress and Instagram #jonkiddvisualartist

Jon’s work has been seen in several exhibitions and publications.”

Thank you so much to Jon for being our first exhibitor.

We were lucky enough to receive a visit from Dexter & Darwin today. Both tired out after their walk on the prom in the rain.
At L-B&H we love to meet your pets, and when it’s safe to visit we positively encourage you to bring them.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us since we opened just over a week ago.  We have received numerous cards and messages of support, many kind gifts, and most importantly cake!!!  We have been able to interact with thousands of people on social media and are absolutely humbled by the kindness shown to us.  Thank you all so very much.
