We’ve reached a huge milestone this weekend.

1000 followers on Facebook. Thank you all so very much for being part of our journey.

Jamie Oliver, our lovely therapy dog has decided it’s all because of him. We think he’s probably right.

All of us at L-B&H are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of those who donated and those who came to our Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning today.

From an original target of £200 we managed to raise a whopping £507 which is absolutely amazing.

Thank you to the fantastic Take A Break Cafe for the splendid cakes, and to Helen and Heulwen for their kind and tasty contributions xx

Thank you so much to Mandy and the St.David’s Church Afternoon Tea Group who gave an incredible £200 to our cause. We really were humbled by your kindness.

It really was lovely to see so many of you, we had over 50 visitors. Thank you for your support and kindness.

September was a busy but subdued month at L-B&H. With the UK in a mourning period we shut down social media and quietly continued our work. This month I was lucky enough to be able to lead a cortège with the lovely Milly, (dogs are family and are most welcome at Colwyn Bay Crematorium). September was tinged with a personal sadness as we said goodbye to our good friend Beth. In her case the old saying is very true…”live your life so well, that when you die, even the undertaker sheds a tear”.

Thank you as always to every family who trusted us during this most historic of months, for all the cakes and biscuits and personal thank you cards, and to all our team at L-B&H who work so hard to assist us.

We return to social media after observing the mourning period for the late Elizabeth II and have to say how impressed we were with the two funeral companies involved. William Purves and Leverton & Sons were impeccable throughout. Can you imagine the pressure they were under. The proceedings were watched by nearly half the population of the planet!

During the mourning period, two of our colleagues have done some amazing things. Firstly, Adi of Angladdau Tirion Funerals has been nominated as Green Undertaker of the year in the Good Funeral Awards. We are immensely proud of her and know that she really deserves this accolade.

Secondly, Peter Wild has raised nearly £1500 for SSAFA and Prevent Breast Cancer UK by entering the Veterans Banger Rally 2022. Well done Peter and Co driver Derek for raising so much.
